So I decided to try and simplify things, I figured that fitting a tube to the side of the scope body would enable me to slide pellets head first down the tube into the loading channel. I got some aluminium tube with a 6mm internal diameter and cut a short length, by trial and error I soon found that roughly a 45 degree angle was sufficient to send the pellet into the loading channel just in front of the probe. A piece of the tube was cut in half to cover the loading channel and the tubing lined up to one side of the scope body and the two were married together and a hole bored through and corners smoothed off etc. A bit of work with the sewing kit, some leather and velcro and I had the tube fixed to the side of the scope body. I sprayed it all black so it would not stand out in its natural colour. |
